This blog sounds like a great place! I know that in Florida, there is a scholarship program called "Bright Futures" which is funded by the Florida Lottery. My daughter has a Bright Futures scholarship. The money must be used to attend a college within Florida, and the student must maintain a certain GPA- a 3.5, I think. So far, my daughter has managed to keep her scholarship, despite working (sometimes two jobs) and a very active social life. She wants to be a surgeon.
You know, I used to work for Collegiate Funding Services. They are a good, reputable company. My current student loans have just be consolidated with education direct, and I found tht they added almost $5000 to the principal!! That is not good.
