Receive student loans and grants

The cost of colleges in todays society, students are very fortunate to be able to receive student loans and grants.

The Staford/ford loan offers both Subsidized and Unsubsidized student loans. But how many people know the difference between the two. A Subsidized loan you have to prove that your in financial need. All interest on subsidized loans is paid by the government while the student is actually enrolled at least half time and during certain periods, such as grace and deferment.. Unsubsidized loans is where you do not have to prove anything. It is the students responsibility to pay all interest on this type of loan. The Direct PLUS program offers unsubsidized loans to parents of dependent students. The parents must pay all interest on Direct PLUS loans.

Another type of help is the Pell Grant. and it does not have to be paid back. Thats right its free money to the student to help pay for his or her college. The maximum you can receive with a pell grant is 3,000 dollars Pell grant funds are paid directly to the student by the school at least once each semester, trimester, or quarter.

So their is some help out there you just need to research for the information. I hope i was able to make the process a little easier.

With Loans the student doesn't have to repay it until 6 months after they graduate. The payments are reasonable and they give you very low interest rates.
